The Window Was Open But I Walked in the Door.
Before After
Growing up as a child

as a whisper in someone's ear,

I learned the subtle beginnings of joy

quietly in my corner of the room

with a song that sang me to sleep.

I wondered what would become of me,

how I would find my way

once I started to stare life in the face.

I closed my eyes and listened to nothing

as nothing listened to me.

Through Music It Was So Loud and Clear.
I rested, one day, beneath a Wheeping Willow, hearing those sounds that had haunted me since childhood, calling me to 'who know's where'. I listened in the cool air as the soft breeze caressed my cheek and spoke those whispers of yore. I turned and closed my eyes and walked toward the sun feeling warm and full of life and music filled the air. The quiet of everything is now the joy of it all.
